Masterson’s Pub , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my latest trip at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I experienced behind its walls was appalling and beyond comprehension .
The State of Affairs: Filthy and Neglected
From the moment I walked in , it was evident that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The ground was covered in grime , and a foul smell of stale beer and dirty bathrooms permeated the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of excrement , decay and sickness . The serving zone , which should be the focal point of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and litter that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The toilet was in even worse condition —overflowing , with a broken handle and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was human waste .
